Happy Birthday Pops

Its my dad's 51st birthday today. I doubt that he reads my blog but I am gonna dedicate an entry to him anyway. I even spend time to make a collage for him using Picnik.



My initial plan for today was to wake dad up in the morning but in turned out that he had to wake me up instead!

Grandpa dropped by this morning with a cake and a card. Its for dad of course. Sweet isn't it? Well, I was half awake and half asleep when he came by. Nasty me, I was a little lazy to get up so I just lay there and eaves drop on their conversation.

My parents were gushing over the card in the dining hall. Then, dad came into my room and *argh!* he opened the card and this annoying birthday tune came on. Thats my wake up call for today.

And oh..hoho...my dad enjoyed every minute..no..SECOND! of it.

He has this liking for out of the ordinary or catchy things AND! the card that plays this annoying tune is one of them. But either way I LOVE MY DAD!

A few days back, mom, dad and I were sitting at the dining table. And dad wanted to tell this retarded joke. Its retarded because..I don't even see it as a joke!

Dad : hey, I have another joke

*mom and i looked at each other then shifted our gaze to him*

Me : fine. what is it?

Dad : One day, this two fellas were fishing by a pond, in a park.

Me : oh no, not the fisherman joke again >.<

Dad : you listen first la. Then, the park keeper came and he asked "did you catch anything"
and one of the guys started telling the guard that he caught this huge HUGE fish...weighs like dunno how many kgs. The the park keeper said that he has to issue an arrest warrent. The guy asked "why?" Then he said because it is illegal. The the guy said sorry and he told the park keeper that it was just a lie.

*dad smiles*

*mom and I looked at each other with this blank look*

Me : I don't get it. Whats the point?

Dad : The main point is, never tell lies la!

Now, do you guys get the joke?? because I really don't. But I did laugh because I thought that it was rather lame.

OH !!

The other day, when my gramps were cleaning out their store room, they found old pictures of my dad. Those of him when he was young, INCLUDING his highschool class photo! I must say, the resemblance of him and my brother is there. They look sooo a like.

Especially the picture of my dad when he was around4 or 5 years old. THEY LOOK LIKE FREAKIN TWINS!

I am tempted to post the pictures here but..

*sigh*

I don't know how to work the scanner.

Dang damn it! Some other time I guess..
