F.R.I.M.

....short for "Forest Research Institution of Malaysia". That was my parent's weekend destination for this week. All greens..far away from civilization..well, literally.

Its located somewhere in er...somewhere. I don't know where it is exactly because I just tag along for the sake of adventure. It was a short drive to F.R.I.M. Maybe about an hour and a half or so.

Once we were there, we checked the info counter and later begin our hike up the tracks.

First stop was "Rover Track". It a 30 minutes walk that leads to the Canopy Walk and/or the waterfalls. My parents wanted to go for the Canopy walk so we followed the track that leads to it. I wasn't exactly enthusiastic about the canopy walk because I have a fear of heights.

Already proven, when I walked the dangling bridge at Sunway Lagoon last year. Yes, I got laughed at by my friends. But I made it across. Hah!

Anyway, it was a 500+ metre hike to the canopy walk station. I was out do by my parents. My FOLKS!! I was like way behind while hiking because I was really tired.

I'm a born shopper but not a hiker mind you.

Finally, after what seem like forever, we reached the stupid dumb-ass station which is like in the jungle a.k.a. in the middle of no where.

Don't get me wrong, I love nature. They are like my best friend but the hike up there is a killer. I was darn slow and my parents were walking until about 100m only they stop to wait for me. I still love you mom and dad. Thanks for not LEAVING ME in the FOREST.

So, yeah. I was kinda fine with it until I faced death in front of me. THE DANGLING BRIDGE OF DOOM!! *gasp* The panic alarm staright away went off. I was shaking but its either I take that bridge with my parents or take the trail downhill BY MYSELF!

That is such an unfair option!!!

So, I chose to walk the killer bridge thinking what if the strings snap and I fall 15 feet below. There are 4 mini stations through out the walk. While I was about to leave station 2, this lady wished me luck because obviously she saw the scared-shitless look plastered on my face.

Over all, the Canopy walk was enjoyable. Half way through I got used to the height. Sorta over-come my fear of height. But it was still fucking scary.

Then it was another 30 minutes hike down to the waterfall and another 30 minutes down Rovers Track. And back to civilization...AT LAST. I's liek to post pictures but its all in my dad's phone. Maybe some other day then.

Can't wait to go back there again. Surprising..I know. My bro is bringing his friends there so I thought of bringing mine along too. Anyone interested??

By the way, my muscles are still aching. *boohoo*

xoxo
